Rubicon Communications Ltd, publisher of Time Out Hong Kong magazine, WOM Guide and other custom publications, is looking for motivated individuals to join our expanding business.




Time Out Hong Kong's feature writer will write, sub-edit and work primarily in the magazine's arts and 'around town' sections, as well as write for other sections as well as in an online capacity, in custom publications and magazine supplements. The writer will also be heavily involved in the writing and researching of major feature stories.

The feature writer will be expected to co-ordinate Time Out Hong Kong's visual arts and 'around town' sections, which includes writing and organising arts and events features, reviews and news for every biweekly issue. The writer will also help the senior editorial team to produce major features in the magazine. Other duties include co-ordinating the visual arts and 'around town' sections online, as well as helping to co-ordinate and produce lifestyle and arts supplements, and custom publications. The writer must attend regular arts and 'around town' events in Hong Kong.
The feature writer must hold a degree qualification or above and have preferably previously held a relevant position in the media, with experience in both writing and editing articles. A command of both English and Cantonese is also preferred. A good knowledge of visual art and of Hong Kong is also preferred.

Most of all we want someone with enthusiasm, an interest in learning and the ability to eat their way around the city.
